PDP NEC passes vote of confidence in Ayu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) has passed a vote of confidence in the party’s National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu.

This followed a motion by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu seconded by Ishola Balogun Fulani, a member from Kwara State.

The confidence vote was sequel to the resignation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) Senator Walid Jibrin and his replacement with a former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara.

Elumelu premised the motion for the confidence vote on the performance of the Ayu-led National Working Committee(NWC) in winning the last Osun governorship election.
