Father confronts daughter's alleged killer in SA court

A South African man was on Monday filmed attempting to attack a suspect accused of killing his four-year-old daughter.

The girl, Bokgabo Poo, went missing last week before being confirmed dead.

Thirty-year-old Ntokozo Zikhali has been accused of kidnap, rape and murder of the child, according to local media outlets. It's unclear whether he has taken a plea.

He appeared before a magistrates court on Monday, and as proceedings were about to end, the girl's father jumped from his seat and attempted to grab him.

The father was heard shouting “you killed my daughter”, according to Times Live news site.

Mr Zikhali will be back in court next week for a bail hearing.
