Re: Enugu State Gov, Peter Mbahs Relationship With Speaker, Uche Ugwu Sours As Strike Threatens 2024 Budget

Our attention has been drawn to a publication by one Precious Eze on his blog, which can best be described as junk journalism attacking the person and character of our principal. He should investigate every piece of information before publishing if he is not a hired street urchin trying to take advantage of the social media to achieve ulterior motives.

His publications are lies from the figment of his imagination. He does not know that PASSAN issue on financial autonomy is a national issue that is not peculiar to any state and that no state can handle it in isolation. He does not know that this administration has not even presented the 2024 budget to the assembly, but he was already talking about speedy passage. All these go to show how shoddy and shallow the contents of his publications are.

Meanwhile, His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State, is so busy with delivering on his campaign promises that he can not join issues with this harbinger of fake news.

Enugu is fast turning into a construction site as work is going on in many places simultaneously. The Governor is focused on growing the GDP of our dear state exponentially. He is ready to drastically reduce our poverty head count index.

Who is this Rt. Hon Uche Ugwu?

From an average beginning, he got his Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from ESUT. He obtained his PGD in Business Management and MBA in Economic Policy Implementation from UNN.

He obtained a certificate in Advanced Leadership from the Churchill College, University of Cambridge in United Kingdom.

He also obtained another certificate in Negotiation Skills from the prestigious Harvard University in Boston Massachusetts, USA. This is a man with a very unassuming and amiable personality.

He is very organized, humble and calculative. His leadership capabilities has never been in doubt. Rt. Hon Uche Ugwu was recently elected Chairman, Conference of Speakers, South East Zone by his fellow Speakers. He is also a National Vice Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of Nigeria.

All these goes to show that he is a capacity leader. Little wonder his colleagues nicknamed him “The Speaking Speaker”. He has received many awards from different bodies and groups in recognition of his service to mankind.

This is the man we have as the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly.
