Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu and Ivorian football legend, Didier Drogba have both celebrated Nigerian football stars, for their achievement in the current CAF awards.
Sanwo Olu celebrated the Nigerian stars who made history both in the male and female category of the award, While Super eagles, and Napoli striker Osimhen, won the best player in the male category, Oshoala who plays for Barcelona also won the female African player of the year. A record fifth so far.
The Governor wrote on his “X†page, “It brings me great joy as a football fan and Nigerian to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our superstars at the #CAFAwards2023.
