Gov. Mbah cancels defection of Labour Party House of Assembly members & followers because of Palm Sunday/Holy Week:

The Governor of Enugu state Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah postponed the defection of more than six LP members of Enugu State House of Assembly, their followers and other members and stakeholders of Labour Party in Enugu to the ruling People’s Democratic Party(PDP).

In an elaborate occasion planned to hold on March 24th, 2024 in Okpara square, the defectors and their supporters had crowded the Okpara Square in their thousands and other supporters were on their way when news filtered in that the Governor had called off the occasion because according to him “ today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of the Holy Week, the event is postponed to another day”. 

A devoted Christian and Catholic for that matter, the Governor has shown a very big respect to the body of Christ which is the Church.

Even when the defectors had paid for their halls, food and made other arrangements for their reception and entertainment after the ceremony at Okpara Square, they saw reason with the Governor and accepted the postponement as part of the cross they had to bear during this Lenten season.

All power belongs to God and our Governor has demonstrated that in action. Indeed, our tomorrow is here…….
