COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria surpasses 60,000

According to Nigeria centre for disease control the Total number of infections is  60,103 (10.9% of 551,362 persons tested), 7,277 active cases (12% of positive cases)  recoveries now 51,711 (86% of positive cases) and 1,115 deaths (2% of the positive cases)

The country confirmed 111 new cases on the 10th day of October, 2020 and 2 deaths.

Lagos state has remained the highest in the number of reported cases (19,909) , active cases (4,455), 15250 discharged and deaths (204).

FCT is in a distant 2nd position with a total nunmber of reported cases -5,805, active cases- 501, discharged cases-5,225 and 79 deaths.

FCT Abuja is followed by Plateau state with a total number of reported cases - 3,536, active cases- 505, discharged cases- 2,998 and 33 deaths

Closely following is Oyo state with a total number of reported cases- 3,299,  active cases- 706, discharged cases- 2,553 and  40 deaths.

Now on the fifth position is Rivers state with a total number of reported cases-2,661, active cases- 121 , discharged cases- 2,481 and 59 deaths.

In Africa Nigeria is among the 5 countries that has the highest number of reported cases.
