The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has appealed to Nigerians for understanding over the ongoing fuel scarcity.
The spokesperson of NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye disclosed in a statement on Monday while announcing the firm made N3.3 trillion profit at the end of 2023, according to its 2023 Audit Financial Statement.
Speaking on the fuel queues in Lagos, Federal Capital Territory Abuja and other cities, the Executive Vice President, Downstream, Dapo Segun said the firm is working with relevant stakeholders to address distribution, and evacuation logistics challenges causing the ongoing fuel scarcity.
Meanwhile, on the aspect of its 2023 audit financial statement, NNPCL said the increase represents over N700 billion or 28 percent when compared to the 2022 profit of N2.548 trillion.
