The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced via his twitter handle that the Mainland Infectious disease Hospital, Yaba has discharged eight (8) of the patients of the dreaded viral virus COVID-19 today, the 14th day of April, 2020.

The eight patients, two females and six males have been allowed to re-unite with their families after testing negative .

This brings the total of the patients managed and discharged from Lagos Infectious disease facilities to sixty-nine (69) and the whole of Nigeria to ninety-nine (99).

The Governor implored all to continue to adhere to all the advice of the health experts as this will ensure that this pandemic comes to an end.

He also promised Lagosians that the state will continue to work towards their welfare and ensure that they are secure
