Global technology company, Huawei, has reaffirmed its dedication to advancing energy infrastructure via collaboration with Rana Energy for energisation of phase 1 of National Defence College 5MW Energy Security Programme launched by President Bola Tinubu.

The programme is aimed at boosting energy production.

Phase 1 marked the energisation of 1 MW of solar and battery systems to NDC headquarters.

At the event in National Defence College in Abuja, Zhang Jim, director at Huawei, noted importance of this initiative.

Zhang said: “This is what we have been aiming for. By integrating our product across the electric network, we are not only supporting infrastructure but also paving the way for Nigeria to make greater use of renewable energy. This approach will result in cost savings over time,” he said.

He added: “Today, we celebrate and engage with our partners as we work together for a more sustainable and cost-effective energy future.
