Since the #EndSARS protest started, people on social media have called on African presidents, the African Union (AU), and especially the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to comment on the happenings in Nigeria.
After the shooting incident at the Lekki toll gate which has killed several protestors, the Chairman of ECOWAS and president of Ghana has also condemned the incident calling for calm and encouraging that they resort to dialogue to resolve the issues raised.
A former president of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings has also added his voice calling for dialogue to meet the demands of the protesting youths.
